A couple of friends is getting divorced. For years, my friend betrayed his wife - littles affairs here and there. He is a truck driver, that probably made things easier.
Their baby girl is one year old. And one of his "ladies" has got a baby only two months older. My friends - both of them - just found out about the other baby girl.
Here in Latin America, we are led to believe that it is kinda okay for the man to cheat. Rubbish. I mean, when a man betrays his wife, it takes her a lot of work to ever again believe in him. That is, considering the possibility of such man "confessing and recognizing" it. Because betrayal is the ultmost lie. Not only that; betrayal pollutes the body with such a durty it is almost impossible to clean it off. The bed becomes dirty; the soul becomes dirty; the person becomes ruined in the other's eye. Any time the partner looks to the cheater, there is a permanent stain on the picture..
That is why only God's power can clean it up again. And I believe in God's power.
But that is not the point I wanna discuss here. I wanna discuss the lie behind this lie. The Latin American men is led to believe that betrayal is as bad as being mean, for instance. It is worse. Nothing compares to betrayal... No, I am wrong. Beating up compares to it. It also violates the body.
I am so angry right now. Angry to see my good friend suffering in despair for the big and small details that never seem to stop coming up about her (unfaithfull) husband.
